  1. 1. The early stage of galling

    Författare :Patrik Karlsson; Pavel Krakhmalev; Anders Gåård; Braham Prakash; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Galling; Stainless steel; Tool steel; Friction; Sliding wear; SOFS; Tribology; Wear; Materialteknik; Materials Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In sheet metal forming (SMF) of materials such as stainless steels there is a major problem with transfer and accumulation of sheet material to the metal forming tool surface. The problem is known as galling; a kind of severe adhesive wear, which results in severe scratching of produced parts. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Self-Lubricating Laser Claddings in the Context of Hot Metal Forming

    Författare :Hector Torres; Braham Prakash; Manuel Rodriquez Ripoll; Paul Mayrhofer; Tomasz Liskiewicz; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Tribology; High Temperature; Laser Claddings; Self-Lubricating; Hot Stamping; Machine Elements; Maskinelement;

    Sammanfattning : Laser cladding is a coating technique with significant advantages like the high quality of the resulting layers, their excellent metallurgical bonding to the substrate or the possibility to repair/rework high-value mechanical components. In recent years, the incorporation of solid lubricants to the base powder in order to produce self-lubricating claddings has been shown in the literature to be possible, with several of the described coatings being able to operate at high temperatures with low friction and wear.
