6. Associative Polymer-Polymer and Polymer-Surfactant Systems: Phase Behaviour and the Influence of Chemical Reactions
Sammanfattning : Aqueous mixtures of two non-ionic polymers, poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and the amphiphilic triblock copolymer, (EO)27(PO)67(EO)27, known by its trade name Pluronic® P104, showed an associative phase separation (miscibility gap), which decreased with the decrease of PAA length. It was found that PAA is a much less selective “solvent” to P104 molecules than water. LÄS MER
7. Low smoke halogen-free materials for wire and cable applications
Sammanfattning : Fire safety issues are becoming increasingly important in modern society and cables are one potential fire risk since they can start a fire and/or spread one. Traditionally, materials containing halogen have been used as primary insulation in low voltage power and telecommunication cables and most cables used today therefore contain halogen. LÄS MER
8. Manufacturing and Characterization of Filled Polymeric Systems
Sammanfattning : The physical properties are changed if fillers are added to a polymeric material. In this work a highly filled model system for power injection moulding (PIM) and graphite nanoplatelet (GNP) based nanocomposites have been manufactured and characterized. LÄS MER
9. Complex Macromolecular Architectures by Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization
Sammanfattning : Controlled radical polymerization has proven to be a viableroute to obtain polymers with narrow polydispersities (PDI's)and controlled molecular weights under simple reactionconditions. It also offers control over the chain-]ends of thesynthesized polymer. LÄS MER
10. Thermal Degradation and Adhesion Studies of Ethylene Copolymers
Sammanfattning : The thermal stability of ethylene(vinyl acetate) (EVA), ethylene(n-butyl acrylate) (EBA), ethylene(vinyl trimethoxy silane) (EVS) and ethylene(vinyl trimetoxy, butylacrylate) (EVSBA) copolymers have been mapped out in this study. The different ester groups', i.e. LÄS MER
