  1. 1. Classification of simple transitive 2-representations

    Författare :Jakob Zimmermann; Volodymyr Mazorchuk; Joseph Chuang; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; 2-representation theory; 2-categories; Soergel bimodules; projective functors; cell 2-representations; simple transitive 2-representations;

    Sammanfattning : The representation theory of finitary 2-categories is a generalization of the classical representation theory of finite dimensional associative algebras. A key notion in classical representation theory is the notion of simple modules as those are in some sense the building blocks of all modules. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Semigroups, multisemigroups and representations

    Författare :Love Forsberg; Volodymyr Mazorchuk; Ernst Dieterich; Stuart Margolis; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; representation theory; semigroups; multisemigroups; category theory; 2-categories;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of four papers about the intersection between semigroup theory, category theory and representation theory. We say that a representation of a semigroup by a matrix semigroup is effective if it is injective and define the effective dimension of a semigroup S as the minimal n such that S has an effective representation by square matrices of size n. 3. 3. On Sustainability Indicators and Sustainable Product Development

    Författare :Ulrika Lundqvist; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LCA; indicators; sustainable development; system boundaries; principles for sustainability; backcasting; sustainability; framework; product develop-ment; ecological footprint;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we present some examples of sustainability indicators and tools for sustainable product development that can be used to facilitate a transition of the society towards sustainability. As a basis for this work, we have used certain principles for sustainability. LÄS MER
