1. Road network and GPS tracking with data processing and quality assessment
Sammanfattning : GPS technology has been embedded into portable, low-cost electronic devices nowadays to track the movements of mobile objects. This implication has greatly impacted the transportation field by creating a novel and rich source of traffic data on the road network. LÄS MER
2. Discovery and Characterization of a Novel Microtubule Associated Protein Involved in Cellulose Biosynthesis
Sammanfattning : Cell walls are a distinct feature of plants and their chemical constituents, cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin, are economically valuable. Plant fibres rich in cellulose, which mainly resides in their cell wall, are traditionally used in making paper and textiles. LÄS MER
3. Multifunctional nanomaterials for diagnostic and therapeutic applications
Sammanfattning : In the past few years, the use of nanostructured materials in medical applications hasdramatically increased, both in the research phase and for clinical purposes, due to thepeculiar properties and the ability of such materials to interact at a similar scale withbiological entities. In this thesis, we developed tailored magnetic multifunctionalnanoparticles for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, such as detection ofbiomolecules, simultaneous enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluorescentvisualization and controlled drug release. 4. Processbeskrivning genom tjänstekartan. Möjligheter och begränsningar i personintensiva tjänster
Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to contribute to the understanding of process mapping in highly interactive services. The interest is focused on possibilities and limitations of a process map, as well as on the process of making the maps. The study analyzes maps of two highly interactive social services and explores the mapmaking process itself. LÄS MER
5. EnviroMT : A new controlled source/radio magnetotoelluric system
Sammanfattning : In the frame of an EU project, a new electromagnetic prospecting instrument was designed and constructed for environmental and engineering applications. The instrument works in the frequency domain in the band 1-250 kHz, whereby the collected data can be used to study the variation of ground resistivity from the surface to a maximum depth of few hundred meters.
