  1. 1. Proteome wide protein production

    Författare :Hanna Tegel; Sophia Hober; Diethard Mattanovich; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :protein production; Escherichia coli; transcription; promoter; translation; rare codon; high-throughput; screening;

    Sammanfattning : Over a decade after the completion of the human genome, researchers around the world are still wondering what information is hidden in the genome. Although the sequences of all human genes are known, it is still almost impossible to determine much more than the primary protein structure from the coding sequence of a gene. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Protein-protein interactions in model systems : design, control of catalytic activity and biosensor applications

    Författare :Johan Rydberg; Lars Baltzer; Joel Schneider; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Protein interactions; design; catalysis; biosensors; hybride materials; nanoparticles; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the design of polypeptides, unordered in the monomeric state but capable of folding into helix-loop-helix motifs and dimerise to form four-helix bundles. The goal of the design was to encode them with the capacity to form dimers highly selectively and the ability to carry out molecular functions in the folded state but not in the unordered state, and thus to establish a molecular link between recognition and function. Sammanfattning : In the field of proteomics, proteins are analyzed and quantified in high numbers. Protein analysis is of great importance and can for example generate information regarding protein function and involvement in disease. Different strategies for protein analysis and quan- tification have emerged, suitable for different applications. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Characterization of Antigenic Properties and High Throughput Protein Purification

    Författare :Johanna Steen; Sophia Hober; Mats Ohlin; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : To understand the cellular processes, knowledge of the localization and function of proteins are essential. There are several high throughput ventures examining the human proteome. However, there are some bottlenecks in these ventures. For example the production and expression of soluble proteins for analysis. LÄS MER
