    Sammanfattning : The general aim of this thesis was to describe and analyse health care workers' blood-exposure incidents, protective measures, and the motives behind decision making about risks and protective measures. This situation affects the prioritisation procedures for both emergency and elective surgery and results in even longer waiting lists, not only for planned patients, but for emergencies as well.
