21. Investigation of topography, adhesion and diffusion in sliding contacts during steel and titanium alloy machining
Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis work is to increase the fundamental knowledge of the tribological contact between the cutting tool and the work material in three different cutting operations, i.e. hard milling of cold work tool steels, turning in 316L stainless steel and turning in Ti6Al4V alloy, respectively. 23. Application of copper corrosion inhibitors in mineral oil : Surface analytical studies and corrosion mitigation evaluations
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis explores the copper corrosion inhibiting properties of a number of nitrogen containing hetero-organic compounds in refined mineral oil. Traditional organic corrosion inhibitors, as well as novel and bioorganic compounds have been studied. LÄS MER
24. Aspects on wettability and surface composition of modified wood
Sammanfattning : Wood is often combined with other materials such as thermoplastics, adhesives and coatings. In general, combinations of wood and polymers especially in outdoor exposure have poor long-term durability. LÄS MER
25. Molecular, micro- and ultrastructural investigations of labile tissues in deep time
Sammanfattning : This thesis comprises investigations of microstructures and molecular remains, preserved in a variety of fossil specimens. The results are presented in six papers, collectively aiming to thoroughly examine fossil traces of such remains by employing a combination of both established and relatively new analytical methods.
