Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation was to gain knowledge about the experiences of siblings and parents of children with autism and learning difficulties, about what brought about the decision to apply for a place in a group home for their child and what it meant for the parents that their child had moved. A further aim was to gain knowledge about what it is like to work in a group home for children with autism as well as to investigate the work atmosphere in group homes for adults with autism. LÄS MER
2. Drug use in the elderly : risk or protection? Findings from the Kungsholmen project
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with different aspects of drug use in a population-based study with participants 75 years and older. The study was performed within the Kungsholmen Project in Stockholm, Sweden, using data from the baseline survey (1987-89), and the first (1991-93) and second (1994-96) followups In the first two papers we used cross-sectional data (n=1810) to describe tile drug Ilse pattern ill this population (I), and to examine the association between self-reported symptoms and drug use (II). 5. Meeting ethical and nutritional challenges in elder care : the life world and system world of staff and high level decision-makers
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis was to describe the issue of malnutrition and use it as a focal point of interest in elder care.
