1. Interstitial Laser Thermotherapy of Liver Tumours. Methodology and Application
Sammanfattning : Interstitial laser thermotherapy (ILT) is a method well suited for selective local destruction of malignant tumours. In the present work, a laser thermotherapy system based on feedback temperature control of energy delivery (through computerised feedback system) was developed. LÄS MER

3. Light scattering in two-dimensional inhomogeneous paper : Analysis using general radiative transfer theory
Sammanfattning : Modeling light scattering is important in diverse reasearch fields such as paper and print, optical tomography, remote sensing and also in computer rendering of images. Particularly in paper and printing industry light scattering simulations play a significant role in understanding the optical response of paper in relation to its properties. LÄS MER
4. Fabrication and Characterization of ZnO Nanorods Based Intrinsic White Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
Sammanfattning : ZnO material based hetero-junctions are a potential candidate for the design andrealization of intrinsic white light emitting devices (WLEDs) due to several advantages overthe nitride based material system. During the last few years the lack of a reliable andreproducible p-type doping in ZnO material with sufficiently high conductivity and carrierconcentration has initiated an alternative approach to grow n-ZnO nanorods (NRs) on other ptypeinorganic and organic substrates. 5. Optical Diagnostics of Soot in Combusting Sprays
Sammanfattning : Optical diagnostics in combusting diesel sprays were carried out in the Chalmers High Pressure, High Temperature (HP/HT) spray rig at conditions similar to those in an internal combustion engine, reaching up to 100 bar and 630 ◦ C. Spray development studies and combustion characterisation were done by high speed shadowgraphs that were digitally processed to measure the start of combustion, break-up, droplets and vapour penetration.
