  1. 21. Hardness of Constraint Satisfaction and Hypergraph Coloring : Constructions of Probabilistically Checkable Proofs with Perfect Completeness

    Författare :Sangxia Huang; Johan Håstad; Rishi Saket; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Combinatorial optimization; approximation; inapproximability; hardness; probabilistically checkable proofs; pcp; perfect completeness; boolean constraint satisfaction problem; csp; graph coloring; hypergraph coloring; direct sum; superposition; label cover; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : A Probabilistically Checkable Proof (PCP) of a mathematical statement is a proof written in a special manner that allows for efficient probabilistic verification. The celebrated PCP Theorem states that for every family of statements in NP, there is a probabilistic verification procedure that checks the validity of a PCP proof by reading only 3 bits from it. 2. 22. Renewables Based Polygeneration for Rural Development in Bangladesh

    Författare :MD. Ershad Ullah Khan; Andrew R. Martin; Semida Silveira; Peter Hagström; Jochen Bundschuh; Erik Ahlgren; Marcus Öhman; Monica Odlare; Lasse Aistrup Rosendahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Anaerobic digester; solar PV; polygeneration; cooking gas; gas engine; electricity; membrane distillation; arsenic safe water; Anaerobisk rötkammare; solceller; polygenerering; matlagningsgas; gasmotor; elektricitet; membrandestillering; arsenikfritt vatten; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Despite the country's rural electrification programme, kerosene is the predominant source for lighting, and unsustainable and polluting woody biomass is virtually the only option available for cooking. The rural population also struggles with unsafe drinking water in terms of widespread arsenic contamination of well water. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Evaluation of Train Driving with Lineside ATPand ERTMS Signaling

    Författare :Tomas Rosberg; Markus Bohlin; Birgitta Thorslund; Behzad Kordnejad; Ziemke Tom; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transportsystem; Transport Systems;

    Sammanfattning : From many perspectives there is a need to understand more of how capacity, signal systems, anddriving behavior interact, and naturally since ERTMS is in its early stage, some areas are stillunexplored. The number of retrofitted ERTMS lines and new designed ERTMS lines are increasing inEurope, which implies extra focus on the capacity optimization in the network planning process. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Game-calibrated and user-tailored remote detection of emotions : A non-intrusive, multifactorial camera-based approach for detecting stress and boredom of players in games

    Författare :Fernando Bevilacqua; Henrik Engström; Per Backlund; Vittorio Scarano; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; human-computer interaction; computer vision; non-obtrusive; remote sensing; affective computing; games; rPPG; Interaction Lab ILAB ; Interaction Lab ILAB ;

    Sammanfattning : Questionnaires and physiological measurements are the most common approach used to obtain data for emotion estimation in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI) and games research. Both approaches interfere with the natural behavior of users. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Methods for measuring physical workload with relevance for musculoskeletal disorders of neck and upper limb

    Författare :Gert-Åke Hansson; Avdelningen för arbets- och miljömedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; shoulder; exposure-response relation; exposure; repetitiveness; movements; postures; questionnaire; EMG; electromyography; accelerometer; Goniometer; inclinometer; arm; wrist; hand.; Occupational health; industrial medicine; Yrkesmedicin; arbetsmiljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Work-related musculoskeletal disorders of the neck and upper limb are a major problem. Women in repetitive manual work is one large affected group. Preventive actions are hampered by the lack of knowledge regarding quantitative exposure-response relations for physical workload. LÄS MER
