  1. 1. Assessment and design of industrial manual handling to reduce physical ergonomics hazards : – use and development of assessment tools

    Författare :Carl Lind; Jörgen Eklund; Linda Rose; Annika Vänje; Esa-Pekka Takala; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ergonomics; Human Factors; Risk Assessment; Hazard Assessment; Screening; Observation; the RAMP tool; Design; Lifting; Pushing; Pulling; Postures; Usability; Musculoskeletal Disorders; Ergonomists; Evaluation; Reliability.; Ergonomi; Human Factors; Manuell Hantering; Riskbedömningar; Screening; Observation; RAMP verktyget; Design; Lyft; Skjuta; Dra; Arbetsställningar; Användbarhet; Belastningsbesvär; Ergonomer; Utvärdering; Reliabilitet.; Technology and Health; Teknik och hälsa;

    Sammanfattning : Despite efforts of reducing harmful physical ergonomics exposures related to manual handling, the occurrence of heavy or repetitive manual handling, and non-neutral postures is high in many occupational sectors. To reduce these exposures, interventions and job design strategies can utilize risk assessment. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Methods for measuring physical workload with relevance for musculoskeletal disorders of neck and upper limb

    Författare :Gert-Åke Hansson; Avdelningen för arbets- och miljömedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; shoulder; exposure-response relation; exposure; repetitiveness; movements; postures; questionnaire; EMG; electromyography; accelerometer; Goniometer; inclinometer; arm; wrist; hand.; Occupational health; industrial medicine; Yrkesmedicin; arbetsmiljömedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Work-related musculoskeletal disorders of the neck and upper limb are a major problem. Women in repetitive manual work is one large affected group. Preventive actions are hampered by the lack of knowledge regarding quantitative exposure-response relations for physical workload. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Designing for sustainability practices : RE-DO Design Doings, Strategies and Postures

    Författare :Mia Hesselgren; Sara Ilsted; Elina Eriksson; Sampsa Hyysalo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Sustainability transitions; Transition design; Machine Design; Maskinkonstruktion;

    Sammanfattning : Tackling current sustainability challenges requires substantial societal and social changes, and many different strategies for their deployment. More people have to choose sustainability practices, such as sustainable mobility practices, but such transitions are not easily accomplished. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Human Postures and Movements analysed through Constrained Optimization

    Författare :Robert Pettersson; Anders Eriksson; Elena Gutierrez-Farewik; Hans Berg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; multibody system; optimal control; trajectory optimization; long jump; posture; Other engineering mechanics; Övrig teknisk mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Constrained optimization is used to derive human postures and movements. In the first study a static 3D model with 30 muscle groups is used to analyse postures. The activation levels of these muscles are minimized in order to represent the individual's choice of posture. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Musculoskeletal disorders in demanding computer work - with air traffic control as a model

    Författare :Inger Arvidsson; Avdelningen för arbets- och miljömedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; prospective study; psychosocial work environment; neck-postures; technical measurements; physical exposure; computer mouse; VDU-work; diagnoses; Neck and upper limb disorders; physical examination;

    Sammanfattning : In computer work, musculoskeletal disorders are frequently reported, but the knowledge about causal relationships is limited. In air traffic control, female and male operators perform exactly the same computer work. LÄS MER
