6. Measurements of Respiratory Carbon Dioxide
7. Lipase-Catalysed Lipid Modifications in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
Sammanfattning : The production of ethyl esters (EE) from ethanol and cod-liver oil by an immobilised lipase in supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO2) is described. This reaction results in a complex mixture of lipid components consisting of triglycerides, diglycerides, monoglycerides and ethyl esters. LÄS MER
8. Carbon Dioxide Pneumoperitoneum - Hemodynamic Consequences and Thromboembolic Complications
Sammanfattning : The laparoscopic way of performing general surgical procedures was introduced all over the Western world in a few years around 1990. No previous scientific studies of the safety of this new way of performing general surgery had been undertaken. LÄS MER
9. Algorithms and Interaction Potentials: phase density, surface tension and carbon dioxide
Sammanfattning : This thesis is an amalgamation of articles (Papers I–V) by the author. We present a perturbation algorithm to calculate the phase density, and thus the partition function including its temperature dependence. LÄS MER
10. Green consumption energy use and carbon dioxide emission
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to explore the quantitative potential to reduce energy requirements and CO2 emissions through changed patterns of consumption, given unchanged levels of consumption expenditure. The thesis question is analysed using a systems analysis approach which in this case means that life cycle assessment data on energy requirements and CO2 emissions related to household consumption are combined with a financial and behavioural analysis to make sure that the budget constraint is kept and that both the first and second order effects of adopting a green consumption pattern are analysed.
