  1. 1. Modelling and Inference for Spatio-Temporal Marked Point Processes

    Författare :Ottmar Cronie; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Asymptotic normality; Consistency; Cox-Ingersoll-Ross process; Diffusion process; Edge correction; Goodness-of-fit; Richards growth function; Growth-interaction process; Immigration-death process; Least squares estimation; Markov process; Maximum likelihood estimation; Open-growth; Spatio-temporal marked point process; Stationarity; Stochastic differential equation; Transition density; Asymptotic normality;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with inference problems related to the growth-interaction process (GI-process). The GI-process is a continuous time spatio-temporal point process with dynamic interacting marks (closed disks), in which the immigration-death process (ID-process) controls the arrivals of new marked points as well as their potential life-times. 2. 2. Methods for improving performance of process planning for CNC machining : an approach based on surveys and analytical models

    Författare :Staffan Anderberg; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Process planning; CNC machining; metal cutting; performance; process capability; environment; energy; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Process planning as an enabler of competiveness is often overlooked, but being one of the principal function in the product realisation flow it holds a key role by combining both product and production requirements into a production concept with respect to the current manufacturing system. As such the capability of process planning to a large extent dictates production cost, lead times, product quality etc. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Tailored process gases for laser powder bed fusion

    Författare :Camille Nicole Géraldine Pauzon; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Helium; Laser powder bed fusion; AM process productivity; Spatter particles; Residual oxygen; 316L stainless steel; Argon; Nitrogen; Additive manufacturing; Process atmosphere; Process stability; Residual stresses.; Ti-6Al-4V; Alloy 718;

    Sammanfattning : Metal laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) allows for production of complex components using the energy from a laser to locally melt micron-sized powder following a layer-wise approach. Considerable scientific efforts are focused on addressing the influence of the process parameters on the melting stability and the control of material properties, while developing necessary monitoring and characterization tools. 4. 4. Co-firing animal waste, sludge, residue wood, peat and forest fuels in a 50MWth CFB boiler : ash transformation, availability and process improvements

    Författare :Henrik Hagman; Dan Boström; Rainer Backman; Anders Nordin; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Co-combustion; animal waste; peat; waste wood; forest residues; industrial sludge; limestone; CFB boiler; ash transformation; corrosion; erosion; ash and deposit characteristics; deposit buildup; boiler failures; availability; sulfation; boiler design; boiler conversion; waste derived fuels; large scale; Samförbränning; animaliskt avfall; torv; returträ; skogsbränsle; reningsslam; askomvandling; korrotion; erosion; ask- och beläggnings-karaktäristik; beläggningstillväxt; tillgänglighet; sulfatisering; panndesign; pannkonvertering; avfallsderiverade bränslen; storskalig;

    Sammanfattning : The direct variable costs for heat and electricity production based on solid biomass fuel combustion is approximately 3-5 times lower than the costs in a fossil fuel-oil based boiler in Sweden. In addition waste derived biomass fuels are typically much cheaper than biomass not classified as waste. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The process atmosphere as a parameter in the Laser-Powder Bed Fusion process

    Författare :Camille Nicole Géraldine Pauzon; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; process stability; 316L stainless steel; Ti-6Al-4V; Laser-Powder Bed Fusion; processing atmosphere; process control; powder degradation; Additive Manufacturing;

    Sammanfattning : Laser-Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) is an Additive Manufacturing (AM) technique that allows to produce near-net shape components of complex design. Applied to metallic materials, L-PBF allows to consolidate subsequent layers of powder using the heat from laser radiation. LÄS MER
