  1. 21. Preclinical therapeutic vaccination strategies in malignancies with focus on B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia

    Författare :Parviz Kokhaei; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Immunotherapy; dendritic cells. chronic lymphocytic leukemia; tumor vaccine; T lymphocyte;

    Sammanfattning : A therapeutic strategy that may potentially delay progression or prevent relapse of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL), is anti-leukemic vaccine therapy. This thesis focuses on comparing different strategies for loading antigen on dendritic cells (DC) with the aim of delineating the most effective antigen presentation platform for stimulating anti-leukemic T cells. 2. 22. Variable viral genes as genetic immunogens

    Författare :Karl Ljungberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Influenza; hemagglutinin; HIV-1; gp160; DNA vaccine; genetic immunization; CpG; GM-CSF; pseudovirus.;

    Sammanfattning : Influenza and HIV-1 are two highly variable viruses that cause extensive morbidity and mortality in many countries. The most cost-effective medical intervention against influenza is vaccination but this has to be repeated annually because of the low antigenicity of the vaccine. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Novel vaccines and antiviral treatments for enterovirus induced infections and disease
