  1. 6. Synthesis, characterization and molecular architecture of electroactive and degradable polymers

    Författare :Baolin Guo; Ann-Christine Albertsson; Anna Finne Wistrand; Ann Cornell; Mark Rutland; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Poly L; L-lactide ; poly ε-caprolactone ; ring-opening polymerization; carboxyl-capped aniline trimer; carboxyl-capped aniline pentamer; coupling reaction; DCC DMAP system; degradability; electroactivity; conductivity; macromolecular architecture; tissue engineering; Polymer chemistry; Polymerkemi;

    Sammanfattning : The third-generation biomaterials are designed to stimulate specific cellular responses at the molecular level. Recent studies have shown that electrical signals regulate cellular activities including cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and differentiation. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Phosphorylation in State Transition : Less cause more effect

    Författare :Jakob Damkjaer; Jansson Stefan; Eva-Mari Aro; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Photosynthesis; Photoacclimation; State Transtion; LHCII Phosphorylation; Lhcb3; Lhcb6; Plant physiology; Växtfysiologi; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : Study of the Arabidopsis thaliana knockout mutant lacking Lhcb3 (koLhcb3) have revealed a close similarity to the wild type plants. Growth rate, NPQ, qP, Φ(PSII), circular dichroism spectra, pigment composition and content of LCHII trimers have been found to be unaffected by this mutation. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Structural analysis of microsomal glutathione transferase 1 by electron crystallography

    Författare :Ingeborg Schmidt-Krey; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The goals of this project were the two-dimensional crystallization of the membrane protein microsomal glutathione transferase 1 and the three-dimensional structure determination by electron crystallography. Microsomal glutathione transferase 1 is a homotrimeric membrane protein. LÄS MER

  4. 9. A Theoretical Study of Atomic Trimers in the Critical Stability Region

    Författare :Moses Salci; Nils Elander; Sergey Levin; Gunnar Nyman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; atomic trimers; halos; quantum resonances; finite element method; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : When studying the structure formation and fragmentation of complex atomic and nuclear systems it is preferable to start with simple systems where all details can be explored. Some of the knowledge gained from studies of atomic dimers can be generalised to more complex systems. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Native protein mass spectrometry of nuclear receptor-ligand and enzyme-substrate complexes

    Författare :Johan Lengqvist; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Mass spectrometry; electrospray; nuclear receptor; retinoid X receptor; fatty acid; membrane protein; glutathione transferase; glutathione;

    Sammanfattning : Nuclear receptors (NRs) are transcription factors that are activated by the binding of low molecular weight ligands. The NR superfamily includes receptors for steroid hormones, anti-inflammatory and lipid-lowering drugs as well as endogenous compounds such as bile acids and fatty acids. LÄS MER
