21. Advanced BaZrO3-BaCeO3 Based Proton Conductors Used for Intermediate Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (ITSOFCs)
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the focus is on studying BaZrO3-BaCeO3 based proton conductors due to that they represent very promising proton conductors to be used for Intermediate Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (ITSOFCs). Here, dense BaZr0.5Ce0.3Y0. LÄS MER
22. Ceria-based Nanostructured Materials for Low-Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells
Sammanfattning : As one of the most efficient and environmentally benign energy conversion devices, solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) have attracted much attention in recent years. Conventional SOFC with yttria-stabilized zirconia as electrolyte require high operation temperature (800-1000 °C), which causes significant problems like material degradation, as well as other technological complications and economic barrier for wider applications. 23. Structure and dynamics of complex materials in the water-poor regime
Sammanfattning : In the solid state, molecules are normally ordered in a specific structure. With time, and as a result of influence from the surroundings, solid materials can change their molecular and/or crystal structure and, as a consequence, obtain completely different properties. Water is particularly important in this respect. LÄS MER
24. Thermodynamic Study of Co-Cr and C-Co-Cr Systems
Sammanfattning : An experimental investigation of the binary system Co-Cr and the ternary system C-Co-Cr has been carried out in the present thesis. The experimental strategy adopted for the binary system was to measure the thermodynamic activities of Cr, the molar heat capacity as function of time, the phase transformation temperatures with corresponding enthalpies, the Curie transition temperature as well as melting temperatures with corresponding enthalpies.
