    Sammanfattning : Hydropower research is often perceived to be an old and exhausted field of study but with ageing equipment and the need for more intermittent operation caused by an increased share of other renewable energy sources new challenges lie ahead.The main focus of this dissertation are the electromagnetic forces resulting from nonuniform air gap flux, whether it be caused by rotor eccentricity or a faulty field winding.     Sammanfattning : Recent advances in microbiology and biomedicine require development of tools to monitor the response of single cells to environmental stimuli under controlled physiological conditions.     Sammanfattning : Background: Focal atrial tachycardias are tachycardias characterized by a radial spread of activation from a discrete area of the atrial myocardium. They account for 10-15% of supraventricular tachycardias and are generally poorly responsive to pharmacological treatment.     Sammanfattning : Background: Several epidemiological investigations show a correlation between cataract development and the dose of ultraviolet radiation (UVR) received. It is experimentally well established that exposure of animal eyes to UVR induces cataract. Most cataracts develop as a gradual increase in lens opacity. LÄS MER
