    Sammanfattning : Unregulated North Swedish rivers show large seasonal variations in their physical characteristics. During winter the whole littoral zone freezes solid, and in spring the water flow increases rapidly and the same areas become flooded. The two mayflies Parameletus chelifer and P. minor are common in the North Swedish river Vindelälven. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The naturally occurring U and Th-series radionuclides have shown to have a considerable importance for the understanding of biogeochemical processes on Earth and in the ocean. In this thesis, the isotopes 230-thorium (230Th), 232-thorium (232Th) and 231-protactinium (231Pa) are used as tracers of the transport and scavenging of marine particles and water circulation.     Sammanfattning : The aim of the present study was to investigate the grip and load force relations in the precision grip (between thumb and index finger) in static and dynamic situations, and to develop automatic procedures for the analysis of position and force data from tests involving the precision grip. The goal of the work was to create physiologically based methods for identification and quantitative determination of disturbances in the nervous control of hand motor function. LÄS MER
