  1. 11. Adapting Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems for Office Buildings without Active Control Dampers

    Författare :Mari-Liis Maripuu; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; climate control; CAV; variable supply air diffuser; ventilation; VAV; energy efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : In commercial buildings the building services systems may account for a substantial part of the need of energy. There is, at least in Sweden, a large existing stock of 20 to 30 year old office buildings, which are supplied with centralised constant air volume flow (CAV) air conditioning systems with the primary function to keep the room temperature at an acceptable level summertime. 2. 12. Year-round production of forest seedlings under LED lamps : Biological and energetic implications of indoor cultivation

    Författare :Marco Hernandez Velasco; Uwe Zimmermann; Anders Mattsson; Frank Fiedler; Johanna Riikonen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Picea abies; Pinus sylvestris; year-round cultivation; forest seedlings; LED lamps; light quality; light quantity; daily light integral; adaptive lighting control; greenhouse integrated photovoltaics; agrivoltaics; seedling growth performance; short-day treatments; cold hardiness; light shock stress; Engineering Science; Teknisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Year-round cultivation of forest seedlings under light emitting diodes (LED) is a technology receiving increased attention from nurseries in the boreal forest regions. In these areas, the climate is characterized by strong seasonal fluctuations, resulting in short vegetation periods with narrow time windows for seedling transplanting and outdoor growth. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) Systems in Commercial Buildings. Functional Requirements on Systems and Components

    Författare :Mari-Liis Maripuu; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; DCV; CO2-sensors; indoor climate control; energy efficiency; CAV; mixedgas;

    Sammanfattning : Demand controlled ventilation (DCV) is considered as an energy efficient solution forair-based cooling and indoor air quality control. Considerable energy savings can beachieved when the airflow rate is continuously adapted to the actual load condition. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Technique and human perception of intermittent air velocity variation

    Författare :Hans Wigö; Mats Sandberg; Ken Parsons; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; indoor climate; Environmental engineering; Miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Objectives. The main objective of the present thesis was to evolve a controlled intermittent velocity field and to examine the impact of this type of dynamic indoor climate on human’s psychology and physiology. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Feed-forward Control and Dynamic Modelling in Temperature Control of Buildings

    Författare :Mohsen Soleimani-Mohseni; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building models; state space models; feedback; thermostats; transfer function models; intelligent buildings; ON-OFF controllers; Feed-forward; PIL controllers;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is mainly about the investigations of different control strategies (and in particular feed-forward) in order to improve indoor climate and/or save energy in buildings. One part of the thesis deals with different ways to obtain dynamic models for climate systems in buildings. LÄS MER
