  1. 36. Integrated sewage sludge treatment scenarios – techno-economic analysis on energy and phosphorus recovery

    Författare :Marzieh Bagheri; Elisabeth Wetterlund; Marcus Öhman; Lale Andreas; Roozbeh Feiz; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sewage sludge management; techno-economic analysis; phosphorus recovery; thermochemical treatment; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Sewage sludge is a by-product of wastewater treatment that simultaneously gathers contaminants, valuable organic matter, and nutrients. The treatment of the increasing amount of sewage sludge is important from both pollution prevention and resource recovery perspectives as i) large shares of mineral phosphorus, listed as a critical raw material, terminate in the sewage sludge, and ii) energy recovery from sewage sludge can cover the energy-intensive demand of the treatment process. 2. 37. Design Aspects of Inductive Power Transfer Systems for Electric Vehicle Charging

    Författare :Daniel Pehrman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; stray field measurements; shielding; electric vehicle charging; inductive power transfer; full-bridge resonant inverter; finite element method FEM ; series-parallel compensation; coupled inductors; series-series compensation; silicon carbide;

    Sammanfattning : During the last decade the transition towards electric propelled vehicles has had an upswing and electric vehicle (EV) sales has increased steadily. This is much due to legislations on lowering emissions but also due to lower total cost of ownership. LÄS MER

  3. 38. Multispectral Remote Sensing and Deep Learning for Wildfire Detection

    Författare :Xikun Hu; Yifang Ban; Ioannis Gitas; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; active fire detection; biome; multi-criteria; Sentinel-2; Landsat-8; burned area mapping; deep learning; semantic segmentation; machine learning.; aktiv branddetektering; biom; multikriterietillvägagångssätt; Sentinel-2; Landsat-8; kartläggning av bränt område; djupinlärning; semantisk segmentering; maskininlärningsmetoderna; Geoinformatik; Geoinformatics;

    Sammanfattning : Remote sensing data has great potential for wildfire detection and monitoring with enhanced spatial resolution and temporal coverage. Earth Observation satellites have been employed to systematically monitor fire activity over large regions in two ways: (i) to detect the location of actively burning spots (during the fire event), and (ii) to map the spatial extent of the burned scars (during or after the event). 4. 39. Corporate and city GHG inventories : Impact on global CO2 emissionswhen considering electricity and CHP-based district heating

    Författare :Lena Nordenstam; Björn Karlsson; Louise Ödlund; Danica Djuric Ilic; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : One initiative to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions involves developing standards for GHG inventories. Companies and cities (regions) can use GHG inventories to compile and report their GHG emissions. LÄS MER

  5. 40. Conjoined piezoelectric harvesters and carbon supercapacitors for powering intelligent wireless sensors

    Författare :Henrik Staaf; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electrode material; coupled resonators; selftuning; Kinetic harvesting; Intelligent wireless sensor; piezoelectric energy harvesting; Supercapacitor; carbon nanomaterials;

    Sammanfattning : To achieve total freedom of location for intelligent wireless sensors (IWS), these need to be autonomous. To achive this today there is a need of broadband piezoelectric energy harvesting and a long-lasting energy. The Harvester need to be able to provide sufficient amount of energy for the intelligent wireless sensor to perform its task. LÄS MER
