  1. 1. Organizational Capabilities : A Study of Electrical Power Transmission Equipment Manufacturers, 1878-1990

    Författare :Fredrik Tell; Lars Lindkvist; Christian Knudsen; Keith Pavitt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Organizational Capabilities; Electrical Manufacturers; Power Transmission; Business History; Technological Change; Knowledge-based Theory of the Firm; ABB; AEG; Alsthom; ASEA; Brown Boveri; CGE; GEC; General Electric; Siemens; Westinghouse; Business Studies;

    Sammanfattning : Organizational capabilities of large industrial firms constitute a pillar in Alfred Chandler's theory of the emergence of managerial capitalism. Science based firms represent one important sector within such an economic context. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A ΔJ approach for nonlinear fatigue crack propagation : Experimental and numerical investigation of a ductile superalloy

    Författare :Daniel Nilsson; Per Almroth; Kjell Simonsson; Björn Sjödin; Daniel Leidermark; Sören Sjöström; Fredrik Borén; Johan Ahlström; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ΔJ; Cyclic J-integral; Fatigue testing; Nickel-based superalloy; Thermo-mechanical fatigue; Elasto-plastic fracture mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation is a product of an academic-industrial collaboration between the Division of Solid Mechanics at Linköping University and Siemens Energy AB. The focus is on enhancing the design optimisation procedures for high-temperature components in industrial gas turbines (IGT). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Constitutive modelling of an additively manufactured alloy for fatigue lifing in high temperature applications

    Författare :Thomas Lindström; Daniel Leidermark; Håkan Hallberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of the work presented in this Licentiate thesis is to investigate and model the cyclic behaviour of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy, with special emphasis on modelling the stabilised material behaviour, which is of interest for fatigue life predictions. Cyclic fatigue tests at different temperatures have been performed to investigate the cyclic mechanical behaviour of the material, where specimens built in different orientations have been used to also study the anisotropic behaviour of the material. 4. 4. Fatigue life prediction of additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloys : Constitutive and crack initiation modelling

    Författare :Thomas Lindström; Daniel Leidermark; Kjell Simonsson; Robert Eriksson; Magnus Ekh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Additive manufacturing; Low-cycle fatigue; Thermomechanical fatigue; Constitutive modelling; Anisotropy;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation was produced at the Division of Solid Mechanics at Linköping University, and is the final result of a project that included mechanical testing and modelling of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy.The main objective of the work presented in this thesis was to investigate and model the cyclic behaviour and the fatigue life behaviour of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy, with emphasis on modelling the stabilised material behaviour, by which fatigue life predictions can be based upon. 5. 5. Crack growth in single crystal gas turbine blade alloys under service-like conditions

    Författare :Frans Palmert; Johan Moverare; David Gustafsson; Mikael Segersäll; Philippa A.S. Reed; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Single crystal superalloy; TMF; Crack growth; Crystallographic crack growth; Aging; Hold time; Creep crack growth;

    Sammanfattning : This work concerns the fatigue crack growth behaviour of nickel base single crystal superalloys. The main industrial application of this class of materials is in gas turbine blades, where the ability to withstand severe mechanical loading in combination with high temperatures is required. LÄS MER
