  1. 21. Capture of CO2 from solid fuels using Chemical-Looping Combustion and Chemical-Looping Oxygen Uncoupling

    Författare :Henrik Leion; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; chemical-looping with oxygen uncoupling; fluidized bed; gasification; CO2-capture; biofuels; oxygen carrier; chemical looping combustion; CLOU; petroleum coke; coal; CLC;

    Sammanfattning : In order to meet the global demand of CO2 neutral energy, chemical-looping combustion could play an important role. Oxygen can be transferred from the combustion air to the fuel by means of oxygen carrying metal oxide particles circulating between two reactors, an air- and a fuel reactor. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Lean NOx reduction over silver-alumina catalysts - Aspects on synthesis, structure and activity

    Författare :Hannes Kannisto; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; freeze-drying; HC-SCR; DRIFTS.; aromatic hydrocarbons; silver-alumina; Lean NOx reduction; selective catalytic reduction; sol-gel; characterization; catalyst preparation; kinetic modeling;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to increase the understanding of how to design highly active silver-alumina catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with hydrocarbons (HC-SCR) in oxygen excess at low temperatures (150-250 °C). Silver-alumina catalysts have been prepared using different methods, including a new unique preparation method developed during the thesis project. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Sintering of water-atomized iron and low-alloyed steel powder

    Författare :Johan Wendel; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; reduction kinetics; water-atomized steel powder; water-atomized iron powder; sintering; oxide reduction; surface analysis; dilatometry; surface chemistry; thermogravimetric analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Iron and steel powder grades are extensively used in the powder metallurgy (PM) industry for manufacturing of ferrous structural components, with a major customer in the automotive industry. The powder grades are predominantly manufactured by water-atomization, yielding powder particles with highly irregular morphology and good compressibility, making the powder ideal for the conventional press-and-sinter manufacturing route. 4. 24. Graphene Based Inks for Printed Electronics

    Författare :Man Song; Zhi-Bin Zhang; Helena Grennberg; Anwar Ahniyaz; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Exfoliation; Graphene inks; Inkjet printing; Screen printing; GO Ag hybrid inks; Leuckart reaction; Reduction.; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot elektronik; Engineering Science with specialization in Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : The outstanding properties of graphene make it attractive ink filler for conductive inks which plays an important role in printed electronics. This thesis focuses on the ink formulation based on graphene and graphene oxide (GO).Liquid phase exfoliation of graphite is employed to prepare graphene dispersions, i.e. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Hypoxic Blackout in Serial Freediving – Protective Mechanisms and Risk Factors

    Författare :Frank Pernett; Erika Schagatay; Glenn Björklund; Anton Westman; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; breath-hold diving; diving response; hyperventilation; hypoxia; oxygen saturation; oxygen stores; pulse oximetry; sonography; splenic contraction.;

    Sammanfattning : Breath-hold diving or freediving exposes the body to stressors such as low oxygen and high carbon dioxide levels in the blood, increased hydrostatic pressure, and cold. The reduction in blood oxygen levels is considered a primary factor for loss of consciousness while diving. This is known as hypoxic blackout. LÄS MER
