  1. 1. Corrosion of Ferritic Stainless Steel Interconnects for Solid Oxide Cells – Challenging Operating Conditions

    Författare :Patrik Alnegren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fuel cell; SOFC; dual atmosphere; chromium volatilization; high temperature electrolysis; high temperature oxidation; interconnect; SOEC;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide cells (SOC) have the potential to revolutionize electricity production by being able to both produce electricity with very high efficiency from a variety of fuels or to produce fuels from electricity and abundant raw materials such as water or carbon dioxide. Some material challenges remain to be solved before large-scale commercialization can be achieved. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Corrosion of Ferritic Stainless Steels Used in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

    Författare :Claudia Goebel; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SOFC; Corrosion; Dual Atmosphere; Interconnect; Area Specific Resistance;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) are energy conversion systems with clean emissions (depending on the fuel used) and high electrical efficiencies, which could potentially replace conventional conversion systems such as combustion engines. However, other issues, such as high costs and limited lifetime, must be resolved before widespread commercialization of SOFCs can be achieved. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Atmospheric corrosion of copper and copper-based alloys in architecture : from native surface oxides to fully developed patinas

    Författare :Tingru Chang; Inger Odnevall Wallinder; Tomas Prošek; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Copper and copper-based alloys are commonly used in both ancient and modern architecture. This requires an in-depth fundamental and applied understanding on their atmospheric corrosion behavior at different climatic, environmental and pollutant levels and how these parameters influence e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Evaluation of Innovative Rehabilitation Technologies Utilising Polymer Composites for Aging Sewer Systems

    Författare :Parastou Kharazmi; Folke Björk; Tord af Klintberg; Tor Broström; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Civil and Architectural Engineering; Byggvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Water and wastewater sewer system maintenance is among the costliest aspects of infrastructure investment. The replacement of deteriorated lines is a difficult and expensive process that causes community disturbance and is generally not conducted fast enough to meet demand. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Chemical Interactions between Potassium, Nitrogen, Sulfur and Carbon Monoxide in Suspension-Fired Systems

    Författare :Thomas Allgurén; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
