  1. 11. Enhancing Tropospheric Humidity Data Records from Satellite Microwave and Radiosonde Sensors

    Författare :Isaac Moradi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CDR; climate; microwave; radiosonde; water vapor; remote sensing; antenna; homogenization; humidity; meteorology; troposphere; radio-frequency;

    Sammanfattning : Water vapor is the most dominant greenhouse gas and plays a critical role in the climate by regulating the Earth's radiation budget and hydrological cycle. A comprehensive dataset is required to describe the temporal and spatial distribution of water vapor, evaluate the performance of climate and weather prediction models in terms of simulating tropospheric humidity, and understand the role of water vapor and its feedback in the climate system. 2. 12. Synthesis of ZnO and transition metals doped ZnO nanostructures, their characterization and sensing applications

    Författare :Chan Oeurn Chey; Magnus Willander; Omer Nour; Andrej Kuznetsov; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Synthesis ZnO nanostructures; TM-doped ZnO NRs; Hydrothermal method; Biosensors; Piezoresistive sensors; UV photodetectors; Diluted magnetic semiconductors;

    Sammanfattning : Nanotechnology is a technology of the design and the applications of nanoscale materials with their fundamentally new properties and functions. Nanosensor devices based on nanomaterials provide very fast response, low-cost, long-life time, easy to use for unskilled users, and provide high-efficiency. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Advanced Remote Sensing Precipitation Input for Improved Runoff Simulation : Local to regional scale modelling

    Författare :Seyyed Hasan Hosseini; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hydrology; Precipitation; Rainfall; Satellite; Runoff; Streamflow; Rainfall-runoff modelling; X-band weather radar; GPM-IMERG; MODIS Terra;

    Sammanfattning : Accurate precipitation data are crucial for hydrological modelling and rainwater runoff management. Precipitation variability exists through a wide range of spatial and temporal scales and cannot be captured well using sparse rain gauge networks. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Aerosol-Cloud-Precipitation Interactions - Studied using combinations of remote sensing and in-situ data

    Författare :Moa Sporre; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; clouds; aerosol particles; climate; precipitation; satellite data; Fysicumarkivet A:2016:Sporre;

    Sammanfattning : Cloud droplets never form in the atmosphere without a seed in the form of an aerosol particle. Changes in number concentrations of aerosol particles in the atmosphere can therefore affect the number of droplets in a cloud. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Use of remote sensing and in situ observations of the atmosphere in chemical transport models

    Författare :Emma Ward; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Climate; Air quality; Ground based observations; Satellite observations; Chemical transport modelling;

    Sammanfattning : Measuring and simulating atmospheric chemical compositions helps us to better understand the impact from long-range transport of different pollutants. Aerosols and tropospheric ozone are examples of pollutants with life times long enough to get transported between continents. LÄS MER
