  1. 26. Nanoparticle plasmonics for solar cell applications

    Författare :Viktoria Gusak; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; titanium dioxide.; Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance; mesoporous material; Plasmonic nanoparticle; amorphous hydrogenated Silicon; solar cell; Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell; diffusion;

    Sammanfattning : The energy demand of society increases rapidly, while the main source of today’s energy, the fossil fuels, eventually will be depleted and also poses environmental and climate hazards (though the global warming). Therefore there is a need for alternative, renewable energy sources, and solar photovoltaics (solar cells) will play an important role as one of them. LÄS MER

  2. 27. The molecular mechanisms behind perception and signal transduction of UV-B irradiation in Arabidopsis thaliana

    Författare :Irina Kalbina; Åke Strid; Lars-Gunnar Franzén; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Action spectroscopy; Arabidopsis; gene expression; reverse genetics; signal transduction; UV-B irradiation.; Biochemistry; Biokemi; Biochemistry; Biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Elevation of UV-B radiation (280-315 nm), occurring as a result of depletion of the stratospheric ozone, causes a number of physiological and biochemical changes in plants. Damage to the photosynthetic apparatus (including the bleaching of the pigments which trap the sun's energy), to the processes of cell division and growth regulation, and to the composition and replication of genetic material are just some of these changes. 3. 28. Design of Time-to-Digital Converter Circuits for 3D Time-of-Flight Measurements

    Författare :Muhammad Tanveer; Harald Neubauer; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell elektronik; Industrial Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : The three-dimensional view of the world is something that we often take for granted, a phenomenon that has proven challenging for machine vision applications in which description of the environment requires the relative position and motion of different objects in the scene. Currently, range imaging (RIM) measurements are based on digital imaging technology and are merged with the ability to measure the distance to the corresponding object point in each pixel. LÄS MER
