16. Efficiency Analysis of Drive-train for an Electrified Vehicle
Sammanfattning : In this PhD thesis, various solutions to improve the energy efficiency in the electrical drive-train of an electrified vehicle such as modifications of the propulsioninverter or control of the electric machine, are proposed and their benefits arequantified from an energy efficiency point of view. The efficiency analysis isbased on modeling of a power electronics inverter, an electric machine and a battery in various drive cycles for an electrified vehicle. LÄS MER
17. Modeling and Control of a PMSynRel Drive for a Plug-InHybrid Electric Vehicle
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents two transient models for a prototype integrated charger for use in a plug-in hybrid-electrical vehicle application. The models can be useful in order to develop control algorithms for the system or to recommend improvements to the machine design. LÄS MER
18. Wave energy converter: hydrodynamics and control
Sammanfattning : Waves, just like wind and solar radiation, is a widely available renewable energy source. Waves are created when winds move across the sea surface. The estimated potential of wave energy is abundant, but the commercial harvesting technologies are still in their infancy. LÄS MER
19. Synchronous Machines with High-Frequency Brushless Excitation for Vehicle Applications
Sammanfattning : Electrically excited synchronous machines (EESM) are becoming an alternative to permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) in electric vehicle (EV) applications. This mainly attributes to the zero usage of rare-earth material as well as the capabilities of high starting torque and good field weakening provided by EESM. LÄS MER
20. Grid-forming wind power plants
Sammanfattning : With growing concerns over climate change, the power system is witnessing an unprecedented growth in electricity generation from intermittent renewable energy sources (RES) such as wind and solar, which are commonly interfaced to the grid by power-electronic converters. However, increasing the penetration level of converter-interfaced generation units reduces the number of synchronous generators (SGs) in the grid that provide system services to support voltage and frequency, either inherently or through mandatory requirements and market products.
