  2. 27. Dark matter in and around stars

    Författare :Sofia Sivertsson; Tommy Ohlsson; Steen Hansen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dark matter; early universe; Astroparticle physics; Astropartikelfysik;

    Sammanfattning : There is by now compelling evidence that most of the matter in the universe is in the form of dark matter, a form of matter quite different from the matter we experience in every day life. The gravitational effects of this dark matter have been observed in many different ways but its true nature is still unknown. LÄS MER

  3. 28. Measurements of Cosmic Ray Antiprotons with PAMELA

    Författare :Juan Wu; Mark Pearce; Olga Botner; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; cosmic ray antiproton PAMELA; Astroparticle physics; Astropartikelfysik;

  4. 29. The Dark Side of the Universe

    Författare :Martin Eriksson; Lars Bergström; Pierre Salati; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Astroparticle physics; Physics; Fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The dark side of the Universe presents astroparticle physics with its most outstanding challenge to date. As observational cosmology in recent years has reached a level of unprecedented accuracy, we have learned that there is very little in the Universe that we know much about, and very much about which we know very little. 5. 30. Search for neutrinos from precursors and afterglows of Gamma-ray Bursts using the IceCube Neutrino Observatory

    Författare :Kunal Deoskar; Chad Finley; Klas Hultqvist; Magnus Axelsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Astroparticle physics; neutrinos; acceleration of particles; Gamma ray bursts; Physics; fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Gamma ray bursts (GRBs) have long been considered as a possible source of ultra high energy cosmic rays, which makes them a promising neutrino source candidate. Previous IceCube searches for neutrino correlations with GRBs focused on the prompt phase of the GRB and found no significant correlation between neutrino events and the observed GRBs. LÄS MER
