  1. 21. Radiobiological effects of the thyroid gland - transcriptomic and proteomic responses to 131l and 211At exposure

    Författare :Nils Rudqvist; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; astatine-211; iodine-131; radionuclide therapy; nuclear medicine; environmental exposure; thyroid; radiation biology; transcriptomics; proteomics; ionizing radiation; toxicity; normal tissue damage; microarray; LC-MS; biomarker;

    Sammanfattning : Radionuclides are widely used in medicine. 131I is one of the most employed radionuclides and is administered to patients either bound to tumor targeting molecules or as halide to target the thyroid or thyroid cancer. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Tumour Targeting using Radiolabelled Affibody Molecules : Influence of Labelling Chemistry

    Författare :Mohamed Altai; Vladimir Tolmachev; Jacques Barbet; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HER2; Affibody molecule; Radionuclide molecular maging; Targeted radionuclide therapy; Labeling chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Affibody molecules are promising candidates for targeted radionuclide-based imaging and therapy applications. Optimisation of targeting properties would permit the in vivo visualization of cancer-specific surface receptors with high contrast. In therapy, this may increase the ratio of radioactivity uptake between tumour and normal tissues. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry Analysis of Short-lived Tracers in Biological Matrices : Exploration of Radiotracer Chemistry as an Analytical Tool

    Författare :Martin Lavén; Karin Markides; Bengt Långström; Rolf Ekman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry; radiotracer chemistry; positron emission tomography; biological samples; radionuclide imaging; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry (LC-MS) methods were developed for the analysis of positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracers in biological matrices. Additionally, radiotracer chemistry was explored as an analytical tool for supporting LC-MS method development and imaging molecular interactions in miniaturised chemical analysis systems. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Generation and engineering of ABD-derived affinity proteins for clinical applications

    Författare :Sarah Lindbo; Sophia Hober; Christoph Rader; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ABD; ADAPT; affinity proteins; protein engineering; radionuclide molecular imaging; HER2; Bioteknologi; Biotechnology;

    Sammanfattning : Proteins that specifically recognize and bind to other molecules or structures are important tools in industrial and medical applications. Binding proteins engineered from small stable scaffold proteins have been utilized for several purposes due to their favorable biophysical properties, tolerance to mutagenesis, efficient tissue penetration and ease of production. 5. 25. Radiolabeled HER-2 Binding Affibody Molecules for Tumor Targeting : Preclinical Studies

    Författare :Ann-Charlott Steffen; Jörgen Carlsson; Vladimir Tolmachev; Lars Gedda; Ragnar Hultborn; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biomedicine; HER-2; affibody; 211At; tumor targeting; targeted radiotherapy; molecular imaging; Biomedicin; Microbiology; Mikrobiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Conventional cancer treatment based on radiotherapy or chemotherapy affects all dividing cells. By directing the therapy specifically to the tumor cells, normal cells can be spared. Tumor targeting molecules carrying a cytotoxic moiety is then an attractive approach. LÄS MER
