    Sammanfattning : The second foreign language, referred to as Modern Languages in the Swedish curriculum, begins no later than year 6 in compulsory school.     Sammanfattning : The aim of the present study is, firstly, to investigate the amount of Swedish and French that is produced by teachers and students in the foreign language classroom and, secondly, to examine in which situations the interlocutors code-switch and for what purposes the two languages are used.     Sammanfattning : Mainstream research on reading and writing is based on the assumption, common in modern linguistics, that spoken language is primary to written language in most important respects.
