  1. 16. A study of process planning for metal cutting

    Författare :Staffan Anderberg; Lars Pejryd; Tomas Beno; Mats Andersson; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Process planning; CAPP; CAM; efficiency; performance; green manufacturing; sustainable machining; CNC; Produktionsberedning; effektivitet; grön tillverkning; Industrial engineering and economy; Industriell teknik och ekonomi; Manufacturing engineering; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Process planning as a function for competitiveness is often neglected. However, as an intermediary between product development and manufacturing, it holds a key function in transforming product specifications and requirements into a producible process plan. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Development and Applications of Surface-Confined Transition Metal Complexes : Heterogeneous Catalysis and Anisotropic Particle Surfaces

    Författare :Kristofer Eriksson; Jan-Erling Bäckvall; Graham Hutchings; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; heterogeneous catalysis; anisotropic particles; protein gradients; nanoparticles; organisk kemi; Organic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The main focus of this thesis has been directed towards developing novel surface-confined transition metal complexes for applications in heterogeneous catalysis and for the preparation of anisotropic particle surfaces. The first part describes the heterogenization of a homogeneous transition metal-based catalyst tetraphenyl cobalt porphyrin (CoTPP) on silicon wafers and on silica particles. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Adsorption of heptyl xanthate at the metal sulphide/aqueousinterface

    Författare :Andreas Fredriksson; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry of Interfaces; Gränsytors kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In sulphide mineral flotation a sufficient hydrophobicity of the mineral surfaces is obtained by the adsorption of collector chemicals at the metal sulphide/aqueous interface. This surface alteration is of fundamental and applied interest. LÄS MER

  4. 19. A Framework for optimised welding of fatigue loaded structures : Applied to gas metal arc welding of fillet welds

    Författare :Erik Åstrand; Gunnar Bolmsjö; Fredrik Sikström; Heikki Remes; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; GMAW; Fatigue; Welding procedures; Fillet welds; Weld quality; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Welding is a key process for heavy steel structures, but it is also a weak link in the structure since fatigue fractures in welds are a common cause of failure. This thesis proposes several changes in order to improve the fatigue properties in acost effective way, enabling reduced weight and reduced cost of welded structures. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Shake-up studies of model systems for adsorbates : Department of Quantum Chemistry, Uppsala University

    Författare :Johnny Bustad; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Shake-up; adsorbates; calculations; catalysis; surface science; Chemical physics; Kemisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Shake-up studies of model systems for adsorbates are presented. The molecule CO adsorbed on transition metal surfaces belong to one of the most studied systems in surface science. The interest is motivated by fundamental questions about the adsorbate-substrate interaction as well as technical applications, such as catalysis. LÄS MER
