  1. 1. Unsupervised construction of 4D semantic maps in a long-term autonomy scenario

    Författare :Rares Ambrus; Patric Jensfelt; John Folkesson; Andreas Nüchter; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mobile robotics; autonomous systems; perception; computer vision; RGB-D object segmentation; modelling and recognition; semantic segmentation; long-term autonomy; mapping; temporal modeling; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Robots are operating for longer times and collecting much more data than just a few years ago. In this setting we are interested in exploring ways of modeling the environment, segmenting out areas of interest and keeping track of the segmentations over time, with the purpose of building 4D models (i.e. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Increasing Ethical Awareness : The Enhancement of Long-Term Effects of Ethics Teaching: A Quantitative Study

    Författare :Hans Teke; Johannes Persson; Utbildningsvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES;

    Sammanfattning : In this study, the impact of two different “methods” for teaching ethics as part of the religious education in the Swedish upper secondary school have been compared by means of a non-randomized controlled trial in two parts, involving 15 teachers and 524 students. 3. 3. Depot-neuroleptics for better or for worse : patients' and nurses' experiences of long-term treatment in psychiatric outpatient care

    Författare :Bodil Svedberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []

    Sammanfattning : Taking its point of departure in the questions of why workers unionize and what happens when they do, this dissertation studies trade union effects on public perceptions and attitudes through the lens of two overarching themes: conflict between management and workers, and tensions between immediate sectional interests versus broader political agendas. These themes are explored empirically through four research papers, studying (1) how union membership, union density, and institutionalization affect perceptions of conflict between management and workers; (2) the impact of trade unions at the workplace level as antecedents of job demands, job autonomy, job control, and training; (3) how union membership and collective bargaining coverage relate to workers’ willingness to prioritize environmental protection above growth and jobs, and; (4) whether and if so how the association between union membership and support for government spending on environmental protection varies internationally based on the level of economic development and environmental performance. 5. 5. Upper extremity functioning in individuals with cervical or thoracic spinal cord injury - From body functions to participation

    Sammanfattning : Background: A spinal cord injury (SCI) can lead to a range of impairments in various body functions, including the function of upper extremity, with severity varying from mild to severe. Long-term consequences for functioning and disability are a dynamic result of the injury characteristics and various other factors, requiring further knowledge regarding upper extremity functioning.
