    Författare :Jelle Kranenbarg; Michel Cervantes; Lisa Prahl Wittberg; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Speed-no-load; vortical flow structures; flow instabilities; rotating stall; mitigation; independent guide vanes; axial turbine; swirling flow; off design operation; URANS; parametric study; blade clearance; head losses; diffusor; GEKO model; flow separation; hydraulic turbine; Strömningslära; Fluid Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Global renewable energy requirements rapidly increase with the transition to a fossil-free society. As a result, intermittent energy resources, such as wind- and solar power, have become increasingly popular. However, their energy production varies over time, both in the short- and long term. 2. 2. Diode-laser absorption spectroscopy - applications in medicine and environmental monitoring

    Författare :Jim Larsson; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TDLAS; GASMAS; biophotonics; Scheimpflug Lidar; Fysicumarkivet A:2019:Larsson;

    Sammanfattning : A major part of this thesis work has been research in a medical project, where, together with industry and clinical partners, the aim was to develop a prototype system for non-invasive monitoring of premature babies based on the optical measurement technique gas in scattering media absorption spectroscopy (GASMAS). Part of the project was to develop a 3D-printed tissue phantom based on chest X-ray images of the thorax of a premature infant. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Angle Resolved Light Scattering in Turbid Media : Analysis and Applications

    Författare :Magnus Neuman; Per Edström; Torbjörn Löfqvist; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering physics; Teknisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : Light scattering in turbid media is essential for such diverse application areas as paper and print, computer rendering, optical tomography, astrophysics and remote sensing. This thesis investigates angular variations of light reflected from plane-parallel turbid media using both mathematical models and reflectance measurements, and deals with several applications.
