    Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines how the art museum’s societal function has been constructed in the Swedish public debate. The dissertation shows that the cultural section of the daily press is, and has been, a forum where actors exchange opinions about art museums, and where notions on the art museums’ functions are co-produced.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is a study on the reception history of early modern portraiture, as expressed in Swedish as well as Nordic and German art historiography written 1880-1945. It focuses on the anthropological and anachronic aspects of the encounter between art historian and portrait, which is analysed according to theory on the agency of images. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Architect David Helldén (1905-1990) took part in the formation of some of the most well-known buildings and environs in Stockholm. Hötorgscity, Sergels Torg and the turquoise glass complex of Stockholm University at Frescati all bear his signature, as does Hökarängen Centre, which includes the first pedestrianised shopping street in Sweden.
