  1. 6. 'Getting' it Together In Joint Directed Action

    Författare :Christina Mauléon; Philippe Lorino; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; emotion; interpretational-relational; language discourse; Joint Directed Action; meaning making sensemaking; quality sciences; relational landscape; identity; action.;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is focused upon investigating how come activities in organizations are sometimes not aligned with an objective at hand, be it a project goal, safety, quality or other. When something goes wrong, where are the answers to be found? In the pursuit to examine these questions further, the aim of the thesis has been to investigate meaning making in action as this can increase an understanding of how actors may continuously align their actions, collective and/or individual, with a common goal – this process here being called Joint Directed Action (JDA). 2. 7. Safety management on multi-employer worksites : Responsibilities and power relations in the mining industry

    Författare :Magnus Nygren; Lena Abrahamsson; Mats Jakobsson; Johan Sanne; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Arbetsvetenskap; Human Work Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The focus of this thesis is on the division of legal responsibilities for occupational safety management on multi-employer worksites in the mining industry. The empirical basis is a study conducted between 2013 and 2016 consisting of interviews and observations focusing on primarily managers, supervisors, coordinators and safety specialists from a Swedish mining company and a number of its contractors. 3. 8. Polymer and Protein Physics : Simulations of Interactions and Dynamics

    Författare :Anna Sinelnikova; Johan Nilsson; Carl Caleman; Erik Lindahl; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; polymers; proteins; Monte Carlo; molecular dynamics; phase diagram; renormalisation group; SPI; polymer effective model; coarse-graining; Physics with specialization in Biophysics; Fysik med inriktning mot biofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Proteins can, without any exaggeration, be called the "building blocks of life". Their physical properties depend not only on the chemical structure but also on their geometric shape. In this thesis, I investigate protein geometry using several different methods.We start with a coarse-graining model to study the general behavior of polymers. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Structural rearrangements of actins interacting with the Chaperonin systems TRiC/Prefoldin and GroEL/ES

    Författare :Laila Villebeck; Bengt-Harald Jonsson; Bente Vestergaard; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biochemistry; chaperonin mechanisms; bound target protein; fluorescence resonance energy transfer FRET ; Actin; abundant eukaryotic protein; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The studies in this thesis are mainly focused on the effects that the chaperonin mechanisms have on a bound target protein. Earlier studies have shown that the bacterial chaperonin GroEL plays an active role in unfolding a target protein during the initial binding. LÄS MER

  5. 10. On the relation between psychosocial work environment and musculoskeletal symptoms : a structural equation modeling approach

    Författare :Pernilla Larsman; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Psychosocial work environment; felt stress; perceived fatigue; musculoskeletal symptoms; process models; mediation; moderation; structural;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the present thesis was to investigate the relation between aspects of the psychosocial work environment and musculoskeletal symptoms including the testing of process models of the potential mediating mechanisms of felt stress and perceived fatigue, and the potential moderating mechanism of physical workload. This thesis is based on four empirical studies. LÄS MER
