The advantages are several, some of which being that the consumption of, often very expensive, sample material can be reduced; sampleexchange can be optimized; sensor performance in terms of detection limits can be improved and phenomena occurring on a very small, and even single-molecule, scale can be studied.     Sammanfattning : The growth of highly pure single crystals of titanium (Ti2O3-TiO2) and vanadium (V203-V205) oxides by chemical transport reactions with TeCl4 as a transport medium is discussed.
