11. Cross-Correlator Implementations Enabling Aperture Synthesis for Geostationary-Based Remote Sensing
Sammanfattning : An ever-increasing demand for weather prediction and high climate modelling accuracy drives the need for better atmospheric data collection. These demands include better spatial and temporal coverage of mainly humidity and temperature distributions in the atmosphere. LÄS MER
12. Transfer of Angular Momentum in Astrophysical Discs
Sammanfattning : In this thesis a study of astrophysical discs, with emphasis on galactic discs, is presented. The frictional force acting on a small satellite galaxy, moving on a co-planar circular orbit in a galactic disc, is shown to be only weakly dependent on the velocity dispersion and the self-gravity of the disc. 13. Description and Analysis of Data and Errors in GPS Meteorology
Sammanfattning : This report presents the relation between remote sensing techniques used for estimation of atmospheric water vapor content, and numerical weather prediction. The thesis makes an overview of the methods for estimation of the zenith wet/total delay (ZWD/ZTD) for radio waves in the neutral atmosphere, and a statistical description of data in relation to the sampling problem for atmospheric water vapor. 14. Contributions to Flexible Multirate Digital Signal Processing Structures
Sammanfattning : A current focus among communication engineers is to design flexible radio systems in order to handle services among different telecommunication standards. Efficient support of dynamic interactive communication systems requires flexible and cost-efficient radio systems. LÄS MER
15. All-Thin-Film Electrochromic Devices for Optical and Thermal Modulation
Sammanfattning : The optical properties of electrochromic materials can be changed by application of an electrical voltage. The conventional electrochromic device consists of several thin films of electrochromic materials and layers for electron- and ion conduction. LÄS MER
