31. Minuscular sculpturing
Sammanfattning : Most of the processes employed in microstructure technology have been adopted from the fabrication scheme of integrated circuits (IC). Although being extremely reliable and cost efficient, they suffer from poor material and geometrical flexibility. LÄS MER
32. Mechanics and tribology of micro- and nanolayered PVD coatings
Sammanfattning : Thin coatings produced by physical vapour deposition (PVD) are increasingly applied tomechanical components such as metal cutting tools, forming tools and machine elements.Improved micro- and nanolayered PVD coatings have been studied with respect tomechanical and tribological properties. 33. Wear resistant low friction coatings for machine elements
Sammanfattning : By the introduction of machine elements made of light metals, e.g. Al or Mg alloys, which are coated with a material providing high wear resistance and low friction coefficient, both economical and environmental benefits can be gained. A high resistance against wear results in increased lifetime and lower costs for spare parts and maintenance. LÄS MER
34. Ionic transport of α-alumina below 1000°C : an in-situ impedance spectrosocpy study
Sammanfattning : Ionic conductivity of metal oxides is critical for the function of a broad range of different components, such as electrolytes in solid oxide fuel cells and alloys designed for high temperature applications. In both cases the ionic conductivity can be studied by in situ impedance spectroscopy, which is also able to reveal information on the dielectric properties of the metal oxides, and in some cases the influence of their microstructure. 35. Solar Thermal Collectors at High Latitudes : Design and performance of non-tracking concentrators
Sammanfattning : Solar thermal collectors at high latitudes have been studied, with emphasis on concentrating collectors. A novel design of concentrating collector, the Maximum Reflector Collector (MaReCo), especially designed for high latitudes, has been investigated optically and thermally. LÄS MER
