41. Speciation analysis of butyl- and phenyltin compounds in environmental samples by GC separation and atomic spectrometric detection
Sammanfattning : The main goal of the work presented in this thesis is to improve the reliability of existing methods for speciation analysis of organotin compounds Species-specific isotope dilution (SSID) calibration in combination with gas chromatography – inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used to investigate the transformation of phenyltin species during sample preparation. Isotope-enriched phenyltin species were synthesized from corresponding isotope-enriched tin metals. LÄS MER
42. Picosecond X-ray Diffraction Studies of Bulk and Nanostructure Materials
Sammanfattning : Fast phenomena occurring after laser excitation were studied using time-resolved X-ray diffraction (TXRD). In most experiments, a femtosecond laser pulse was used to excite the sample, and X-rays were used as a probe. LÄS MER
43. Constructing Poly(Ionic Liquid)s-Based Composite Solid State Electrolytes and Application in Lithium Metal Batteries
Sammanfattning : The pursuit of reliable and high-performance batteries has fueled extensive research into new battery chemistries and materials, aiming to enhance the current lithium-ion battery technologies in terms of energy density and safety. Among the potential advancements, solid-state batteries (SSBs) have captured significant attention as the next-generation energy storage technology. LÄS MER
44. Design, modelling and operation of a 100 kW chemical-looping combustor for solid fuels
Sammanfattning : With the increasing threat of global warming, technologies for efficient capture and storage of the greenhouse gas CO2 are sought after. Chemical-looping combustion is a novel CO2 capture technology that can be applied when burning gaseous, liquid or solid fuels. LÄS MER
45. Thermodynamic properties of humid air and their application in advanced power generation cycles
Sammanfattning : Water or steam is added into the working fluid (often air) in gas turbines to improve the performance of gas turbine cycles. A typical application is the humidified gas turbine that has the potential to give high efficiencies, high specific power output, low emissions and low specific investment. LÄS MER
