  1. 21. Electrochemically etched pore arrays in silicon for X-ray imaging detectors

    Författare :Xavier Badel; Jan Linnros; Volker Lehmann; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrophysics; Elektrofysik; Electrophysics; Elektrofysik;

    Sammanfattning : Digital devices have now been introduced in many X-ray imaging applications, replacing slowly traditional photographic films. These devices are preferred as they offer real time imaging, easy handling and fast treatment of the images. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Geometrical controls on spectral induced polarization in time and frequency domain

    Författare :Sara Johansson; Teknisk geologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Spectral induced polarization; Microstructure; Electrical properties; Tomography; Multiscale;

    Sammanfattning : What can we learn by transmitting electrical currents through electrodes in the ground? Geophysical methods can help us to locate the bedrock, valuable mineral ores, remains of ancient buildings and many other secrets hiding below the surface. However, it is not only the universal interest for the unknown that drives the geophysical research forward. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Novel technologies for studies of structural and functional connections

    Författare :Bianca Migliori; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : To understand the mechanisms underlying the correct functioning of an organ it is important to study its architecture and how the interactions between cells are leading to a specific function. Specifically, the connections that form in the brain are related to the pattern of activation that neurons have, and can help to understand what is the function of each region. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Dynamics and Applications of Long Josephson Junctions

    Författare :Yongming Zhang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The first object of this work is to theoretically study the effects of tunnel junction parameters on flux-flow Josephson oscillators (FFOs) by numerical simulation and to experimentally study the rf properties of FFOs by integrating them together with an SIS (superconductor-insulator-superconductor) mixer/detector on a chip. By using a CAD modeled integrated sub-mm wave receiver, the composite linewidth of two FFOs was measured to be less than 2. LÄS MER
