  1. 1. A study of active-passive damping treatments

    Författare :Hélène Illaire; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; active vibration control; damping mechanisms; active constrained layers;

    Sammanfattning : Active Constrained Layer (ACL) treatment is a vibration-damping treatment which consists of a viscoelastic layer constrained by an actuator. It dissipates energy simultaneously by the shearing of the viscoelastic layer and by the action of the actuator. LÄS MER

  2. 2. An impedance approach to passive-active vibration control

    Författare :Jonas Svensson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hybrid passive-active vibration control; Active control; Euler- Bernoulli theory.; Impedance matching;

    Sammanfattning : The complementary advantages of active and passive vibration control have motivated research concerning hybrid configurations. Previous studies have mainly focused on active constrained layers (ACL). However, investigations pointing towards suboptimal performance of ACL have made it interesting to investigate other solutions. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Model-based Analysis and Design of Atomic Layer Deposition Processes

    Författare :Anders Holmqvist; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Atomic layer deposition; Heterogeneous reaction kinetics; Limit-cycle dynamics; Parameter estimation; Multi-objective optimization; Dynamic optimization; Scale-up analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a thin-film manufacturing process in which the growth surface is exposed to non-overlapping alternating injections of gas-phase chemical precursor species separated by intermediate purge periods to prevent gas-phase reactions. ALD is characterized by sequential self-terminating heterogeneous reactions between highly reactive gas-phase precursor species and surface-bound species which, when allowed sufficient conditions to reach saturation, results in highly conformal films, on both planar and topographically complex structures.
