  1. 1. Multivariate Synergies in Pharmaceutical Roll Compaction : The quality influence of raw materials and process parameters by design of experiments

    Författare :Nabil Souihi; Johan Trygg; Jukka Rantanen; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Roll compaction; dry granulation; mannitol; dicalcium phosphate; design of experiments; orthogonal projections to latent structures; critical quality attributes; tablet manufacturing; quality by design; design space; near-infrared chemical imaging; texture analysis; modeling; scale up; instrumented roll; Johanson model;

    Sammanfattning : Roll compaction is a continuous process commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry for dry granulation of moisture and heat sensitive powder blends. It is intended to increase bulk density and improve flowability. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Model-based Analysis and Design of Atomic Layer Deposition Processes

    Författare :Anders Holmqvist; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Atomic layer deposition; Heterogeneous reaction kinetics; Limit-cycle dynamics; Parameter estimation; Multi-objective optimization; Dynamic optimization; Scale-up analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a thin-film manufacturing process in which the growth surface is exposed to non-overlapping alternating injections of gas-phase chemical precursor species separated by intermediate purge periods to prevent gas-phase reactions. ALD is characterized by sequential self-terminating heterogeneous reactions between highly reactive gas-phase precursor species and surface-bound species which, when allowed sufficient conditions to reach saturation, results in highly conformal films, on both planar and topographically complex structures. 3. 3. Pressurized entrained-flow high temperature black liquor gasification : CFD based reactor scale-up method and spray burner characterization

    Författare :Magnus Marklund; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Strömningslära; Fluid Mechanics;

    Sammanfattning : Black liquor is an important by-product in the chemical kraft pulping process, which provides the paper mill with pulp. Due to both economical and environmental protection driving forces it is important to recover the pulping chemicals and energy contained in the black liquor. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Absorption Based Systems for Co-removal of Nitrogen Oxides and Sulfur Oxides from Flue Gases

    Författare :Jakob Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SOx; absorption; ClO2; sulfite oxidation; gas-phase oxidation; NOx; Emissions control; scale-up;

    Sammanfattning : Enhanced control of nitrogen and sulfur emissions, found in many of industrial processes, is anticipated for decades to come. Stricter emission regulations require new technologies adapted to the new conditions at reasonable cost. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Raising the (roll)bar : exploring barriers and facilitators to research translation in US public health

    Författare :Pamela J. Tinc; Kristina Lindvall; Lars Weinehall; Julie Sorensen; Paul Jenkins; Per Nilsen; Umeå universitet; []
