31. Integrating biochemical and growth responses in ecotoxicological assays with copepods
Sammanfattning : The understanding of effects of chemical exposure in nature is lagging behind. Predictions of harmful effects of chemicals on aquatic organisms rely mainly on ecotoxicity tests. LÄS MER
32. Operationalization of lean thinking through value stream mapping with simulation and FLOW
Sammanfattning : Background: The continued success of Lean thinking beyond manufacturing has led to an increasing interest to utilize it in software engineering (SE). Value Stream Mapping (VSM) had a pivotal role in the operationalization of Lean thinking. However, this has not been recognized in SE adaptations of Lean. LÄS MER
33. Synthesis and transformation of some low molecular weight carbohydrates
Sammanfattning : A one-step transformation of hydroxyl groups in carbohydrates to bromo groups is presented. The usefulness of ρ-methoxybenzyl as a protecting group of the anomeric center is examined. Reductive elimination by treatment of acetylated deoxyhalo sugar derivatives using zinc powder in ethanol containing acetic acid to give unsaturation is described. LÄS MER
34. Preserving useful digital objects for the future
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the preservation and presentation of physical structure (i.e. visual appearance) of digital information objects. The research is focused on digital information objects of a character that is common in e-services and e-government, namely web forms or receipts that exists in large numbers with similar form. 35. Optimization of time domain induced polarization data acquisition and spectral information content
Sammanfattning : The need for detailed subsurface information is increasing due to city expansion and infill projects as well as subsurface construction projects. One common method for acquiring this geo-information is the direct current resistivity and time domain induced polarization method (DCIP) that measures the electrical resistivity and chargeability of the subsurface.
