The health-related quality of life (HRQoL) using the self-administered questionnaires EuroQol 5 Dimension (EQ-5D) and Short Form- 36 Health Survey (SF-36) and with a long term follow-up has not previously been examined in this group of patients. Sammanfattning : In the acute setting of ischaemic stroke, two proven treatments are available: intravenous thrombolysis (iv-tPA) with alteplase and endovascular thrombectomy. The main aim of this thesis was to investigate the associations between symptom severity in the acute setting of ischaemic stroke and 1) the presence of arterial occlusions and 2) long-term functional outcome assessed at 3 months.
