    Sammanfattning : During the 1970s, Sweden saw the rise of a new set of pedagogical methods and techniques, aimed at educating and training people to become emotionally emancipated and authentic in their relationships with others.     Sammanfattning : This thesis examines how Erik XIV and Johan III of Sweden used ethos construction and rhetoric to legitimize the new strong royal power during their combined reign from 1561 to 1592. The study analyses three different crises of legitimacy to understand how the kings and their allies negotiated these challenges and how the various strategies used by the rulers affected their ability to expand the space of legitimate royal power.     Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the media construction of five Swedish sports heroes, active from the 1920’s to the beginning of the 2000’s. The analyses are based on the assumption that sports heroes are social products that reflect the dominating ideals and values of a society or culture, and that the media plays an important role in this process.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis, results from three studies and a reanalysis have been combined to provide knowledge of what students need to learn in relation to the second-order concepts of evidence, historical empathy and causation, for them to be able to handle historical sources and construct accounts.
