  1. 1. Platform Design : Creating Meaningful Toolboxes When People Meet

    Författare :David Joaquin Cuartielles Ruiz; Teemu Leinonen; Malmö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Platform Design; Interaction Design;

    Sammanfattning : Platform Design is a study of different viewpoints on the creation of digital systems, and how they converge in platforms designed, built, and managed by communities. As sociotechnical constructs in which features emerge through the interaction of different stakeholders, platforms are understood as both means and outcomes—the ‘things’ or boundary objects in a design process—generating the spaces where communities of practice can form. 2. 2. Wearing Sound : Foundations of Sonic Design

    Författare :Vidmina Stasiulyte; Clemens Thornquist; Daniëlle Bruggeman; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Textiles and Fashion Design ; Textil och mode konstnärlig ;

    Sammanfattning : Fashion is primarily a visual ontology consisting of definitions, theory and methods that are based on visual language. This research revises fashion by approaching it from a different—sonic—perspective wherein sound is considered not as a negative aspect but as a potential source of a new theory and facilitator of the evolution of new methods. 3. 3. Design approaches in industrialized house building : A creativity perspective

    Författare :Emma Viklund; Helena Lidelöw; Gustav Jansson; Dan Engström; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Architecture; architectural design; creativity; design approach; design context; design process; engineering design; industrialized house building; platform; Construction Engineering and Management; Byggproduktion;

    Sammanfattning : Industrialized house builders strive towards structure and control of their processes, including design. Such structure is seldom sought for in architectural design practice, where individuality and autonomy are considered essential. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Platform-Based Design - Design Rationale Aspects within the Configurable Component Concept

    Författare :Stellan Gedell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; design rationale; derivate designs; configurable components; set-based design; product model; re-use; platform-based design; function-means tree;

    Sammanfattning : Competition, emanating from globalization and the continuing evolution in supplier chains, especially within the automotive industry, creates pressure on every phase of a design´s lifecycle to be more efficient. Requirements, which at least are perceived as conflicting, on one hand a low product price achieved by high volumes and economy of scale, and on the other hand the customers´ whish of individualized products, push for new approaches. 5. 5. Staging urban emergence through collective creativity: Devising an outdoor mobile augmented reality tool

    Författare :Hyekyung Imottesjo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Urban Rules; Emergent processes; outdoor mobile augmented reality; Compact city; Complex adaptive systems; Urban resilience; collaborative design; research-through-design;

    Sammanfattning : The unpredictability of global geopolitical conflicts, economic trends, and impacts of climate change, coupled with an increasing urban population, necessitates a more profound commitment to resilience thinking in urban planning and design. In contrast to top-down planning and designing for sustainability, allowing for emergence to take place seems to contribute to a capacity to better deal with this complex unpredictability, by allowing incremental changes through bottom-up, self-organized adaptation made by diverse actors in the proximity of various social, economical and functional entities in the urban context.
