  1. 1. Development of functional asymmetries in young infants : A sensory-motor approach

    Författare :Erik Domellöf; Louise Rönnqvist; Jacqueline Fagard; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Laterality; development; handedness; human infant; stepping response; placing response; head turning; arm movement; reaching; kinematic parameters; intralimb coordination; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Human functional laterality, typically involving a right-sided preference in most sensory-motor activities, is still a poorly understood issue. This is perhaps particularly true in terms of what underlying mechanisms that may govern lateral biases, as well as the developmental origins and course of events. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The driver response process in assisted and automated driving

    Författare :Linda Pipkorn; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automation safety; take-over request; driver behavior; response process; automated driving; driving performance;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Safe assisted and automated driving can be achieved through a detailed understanding of the driver response process (the timing and quality of driver actions and visual behavior) triggered by an event such as a take-over request or a safety-relevant event. Importantly, most current evidence on driver response process in vehicle automation, and on automation effects (unsafe response process) is based on driving-simulator studies, whose results may not generalize to the real world. 3. 3. Demand Flexibility for the Simultaneous Provision of Multiple Services : Tapping the Potential of Controllable Electric Loads for Frequency Reserves and Energy Arbitrage

    Författare :Lars Herre; Lennart Söder; Qiuwei Wu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aggregator; chance constrained optimisation; demand response; de-mand response provider; demand side management; frequency reserves; load control; stochastic optimization; aggregator; riskbegränsad optimering; efterfrågestyrning; leverantör av efterfrågesvar; efterfrågeflexibilitet; frekvensreserver; laststyrning; stokastisk optimering.; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Power systems with increasing shares of renewable energy sources require sufficient flexibility sources. One source of flexibility for future power systems is constituted by flexible electric loads. The concept of demand response captures the utilization of demand side flexibility to provide services to the power system. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Stepping, placing and headturning biases in newborn infants : A neurodevelopmental perspective

    Författare :Erik Domellöf; Louise Rönnqvist; Marian Jongmans; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Psychology; Psykologi; Psychology; psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : In the present thesis the stepping, placing and head turning responses in healthy humanfullterm newborns are investigated. The main focus is put on a study of these newbornresponses in relation to functional asymmetries, while at the same time exploring anddiscussing different factors that possibly can affect the outcome of such studies. 5. 5. Agents secrets : Le public dans la construction interactive de la reprsentation thtrale

    Författare :Mathias Broth; Lorenza Mondada; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Romance languages - general; Theatre performance; audience; coughing; throat-clearing; silence; laughter; collective response; conversation analysis; institutional interaction; turntaking; official and unofficial actions; projection; listening; gesture; acting; Romanska språk - allmänt; Romance languages; Romanska språk; Romance Languages; Romanska språk; French language;

    Sammanfattning : The present study focusses on the theatre audience, and on its’ role in the maintenance of the theatrical situation. Using video-recorded performances of relatively naturalistic, modern dramas, the study examines the behaviour of the audience in relation to the unfolding of stage events. LÄS MER
