Security threats against ports and vessels acquired a new perspective and in 2002 the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, introducing Chapter XI-2 - Special measures to enhance maritime security. Sammanfattning : The everyday experiences of young Japanese individuals in creative careers, living in the neighborhood of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York City, is the starting point for this study that investigates the informants strategies in the creative field they belong to, as well as how cosmopolitanism and globalization is experienced on an individual level. 5. Opening the black box of material criticality : heterogeneity and interrelations of companies within and across industrial sectors
Sammanfattning : The concept of ‘material criticality’ has been introduced to examine availability and accessibility of natural resources that underlie industrial competitiveness and deployment of strategic technologies, such as electric mobility or wind turbines. The academic and policy discourse conceptualised material criticality rather as a black box, assuming industrial sectors to be monolithic, homogeneous and independent entities, neglecting complexity of the company dimension.
