  1. 1. Optical Characterization and Energy Simulation of Glazing for High-Performance Windows

    Författare :Andreas Jonsson; Arne Roos; Werner Platzer; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy simulations; antireflection coatings; dip-coating; optical measurements; spectrophotometer; integrating spheres; low-e windows; solar control windows; smart windows; control strategies; U value; g-value; Engineering physics; Teknisk fysik; Engineering Science; teknisk fysik med inriktning mot fasta tillståndets fysik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on one important component of the energy system - the window. Windows are installed in buildings mainly to create visual contact with the surroundings and to let in daylight, and should also be heat and sound insulating. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Windows of Opportunities : The Glazed Area and its Impact on the Energy Balance of Buildings

    Författare :Mari-Louise Persson; Arne Roos; Maria Wall; Ida Bryn; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Engineering physics; building simulations; DEROB-LTH; glazing; window size; energy efficiency; glazed area; Teknisk fysik;

    Sammanfattning : The impact of window area on the energy balance of a building was investigated by simulations in DEROB-LTH. The glazed area was varied in three types of buildings with different types of glazing and for several climates.One low energy house was compared to a less insulated house but identical in size and layout. 3. 3. Performance of Energy Efficient Windows and Solar Shading Devices

    Författare :Tobias Rosencrantz; Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : This Licentiate dissertation deals with windows and solar shading devices and how they could be designed and used to save energy for heating and cooling in buildings. Parametric studies using the dynamic energy simulation software ParaSol v 2.0 were performed for different windows and solar shading devices. LÄS MER
