  1. 1. Transcription factors regulating the Btk promoter

    Författare :Susanne Müller; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Btk; X-linked agammaglobulinemia; transcription factors; repression; synergism; Sp 1; Sp3; PU.l; Spi-B; genetherapy.;

    Sammanfattning : Bruton's agammaglobulinemia tyrosine kinase (Btk) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase-related to the Src family of kinases. Mutations in various parts of the gene have been shown to lead to X-linked agammaglobulinemia, an immunodeficiency disease which is characterized by a defect in B-cell development. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The acidic domain, the human version and the protein interaction of the ETS transcription factor SPI-C

    Författare :Robert Carlsson; Immunologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; serology; transplantation; Immunologi; serologi; Immunology; B-lymphocyte; phylogeny; STAT6; SPI-C; transcription;

    Sammanfattning : Primary infections and vaccination stimulates the immunesystem to produce memory cells that rapidly respond to reexposure of the same antigen. These memory responses are dependent on an adaptive type of immunity that sustains the reactivity of the immune system by long-lived memory immune cells. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Functional analysis of the -1087 single nucleotide polymorphism in the IL-10 promoter region

    Författare :Lena Larsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; IL-10; B cells; Sp1; transcription factors; gene expression;

    Sammanfattning : Interleukin (IL) 10 is recognized as a pro-inflammatory cytokine that promotes B cell proliferation. The objectives of the present series of studies were to analyze (i) differences in transcription factor binding to the -1087 IL-10 gene polymorphism in B cells, (ii) the influence of the A to G nucleotide transition on IL-10 and Sp1 gene expression in B cells, (iii) differences in Sp1 expression in periodontitis lesions from GG and AA genotype subjects and (iv) epigenetic modifications around the -1087 site and their influence on IL-10 gene expression. 4. 4. Regulation of B cell development by antigen receptors

    Författare :Jannek Hauser; Thomas Grundström; Yuan Zhuang; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :calcium; calmodulin; e-proteins; E2A; B cell development; antigen receptor signaling; surrogate light chains; RAG; allelic exclusion; V D J recombination; AID; negative feedback regulation; plasma cell differentiation;

    Sammanfattning : The developmental processes of lymphopoiesis generate mature B lymphocytes from hematopoietic stem cells through increasingly restricted intermediates. Networks of transcription factors regulate these cell fate choices and are composed of both ubiquitously expressed and B lineage-specific factors. LÄS MER
