1. Event stratigraphy for the Last Glacial-Holocene transition in eastern middle Sweden
Sammanfattning : This thesis outlines an event stratigraphy for the Last Glacial-Holocene transition in eastern middle Sweden. Events are short-lived occurrences that have left traces in the geological record and which, therefore, may be used for correlation and inter-regional comparisons. LÄS MER
2. Pollen analysis, chronology and palaeomagnetism of three Late Weichselian sites in southern Sweden
Sammanfattning : Three sites, Torreberga in Skåne, Farslycke in Blekinge and Lake Bolmen in Småland, with Late Weichselian lake sediments were studied with respect to pollen analysis and palaeomagnetism. The chronologies are based on pollen stratigraphical correlations, radiocarbon dating and, for two of the sites, on a clay-varve chronology. LÄS MER

4. The Weichselian in southern Sweden and southwestern Baltic Sea : glacial stratigraphy, palaeoenvironments and deglaciation chronology
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the Weichselian glaciation history of southernmost Sweden and the southwestern Baltic Basin is discussed, with special emphasis on Middle and Late Weichselian ice advances and subsequent deglaciations. The main study area was Kriegers Flak in the southwestern Baltic Sea where pre-Late Weichselian sediments were identified. LÄS MER
5. Plant species diversity patterns in a Swedish rural landscape : effects of the past and consequences for the future
Sammanfattning : Plant species richness in rural landscapes is threatened as grassland management ceases or changes, and as many remaining semi-natural grasslands are becoming increasingly fragmented. This thesis is a study of plant species diversity in a rural landscape in south-eastern Sweden, and its relationship to management history and landscape pattern. LÄS MER
